All children can learn.  Follow my adventures through Teach For America in Chicago as I work with one of many amazing people trying to help close the achievement gap.  I love Chicago, but it is hard to see the effect of low expectations on these amazing students.  Their love of learning and ability to rise to our academic and personal challenges inspires me.

It’s going to be a good year!

Your blog is excellent Lauren! How did you know how to do this?

I just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award. This is my first time participating in a chain letter type award. I hope that you realize that there are a few reasons I am doing this: 1) To thank you for the inspiration you have given me as I learn the blogging ropes 2) To share your talents with my friends, families, and followers. I hope that you will graciously accept this award from a newbie like me!
